At Assisted Living Villages we focus on maintaining the normal routines of home. Our residents and caregivers gather for family style meals. Residents spend time on personal care and light housekeeping. There's time to socialize with friends and time to be on their own. They are encouraged to continue whatever activities they were used to doing at home; whether it's setting the table or preparing for dinner, doing laundry, gardening in the backyard or going out for social and community activities.

The core of our team are the "Resident Caregivers," who provide 24 hour supervision to our residents. They are well educated in the disease process and its management, and receive continual updates and refresher courses. Resident Caregivers are assigned to a house, working with the residents on a daily basis and getting to know their individual needs.

A Warm, Friendly Assisted Living Environment

A lot of planning went into making Assisted Living Villages feel as much like home as possible - warm, friendly, familiar and safe. Every aspect of daily life has been taken into consideration, based on our residents' needs. Right from the beginning, we consulted with architectural and design experts who specialize in Alzheimer's facilities - to make sure Assisted Living Villages offers the maximum amount of independence and safety.

The layout is residential by design - small in scale and organized into three self-contained "houses." Each house has its own living room, dining room, kitchen, full bath and laundry. Each house can accommodate six residents in private comfortable, spacious rooms. The common areas encourage interaction between residents and provide opportunities to participate in group activities. Bedrooms can be elegantly and fully furnished, yet we encourage personal possessions to make the residents feel at home in their new environment. There's also a secured backyard for gardening and enjoying the outdoors, along with a creek, and a small vineyard.

Our 24-hour caregiver supervision and assistance includes:

• Monitoring and dispensing medication
• Bathing, dressing and grooming
• Incontinence care
• Laundry

We will accommodate male and female residents who:

• Are ambulatory / non-ambulatory
• Are continent and incontinent
• Are diabetic
• Are in early stages of Alzheimer's / Dementia
• Require oxygen or catheters
